Description
By the end of the course delegates will have the confidence to enter a control panel safely, understand the hazards and associated risks, identify panel components and be able to undertake resets safely.
The Programme Will Cover:
- Electrical safety - hazards and risks associated with electricity
- Applicable Health and Safety legislation - legal compliance
- Safe isolation, Lock Off and Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
- Understanding limitations and restrictions of panel access
- Understanding the different voltages present in control panels (power and control)
- Identification and functionality of control panel components
- The potential causes of overcurrent and short circuits
- Practical resetting/replacing of electrical safety devices
- Dynamic risk assessment
- Completion of recording documents
